“Enjoy the little things.” I’ve heard this saying countless times, but I never understand the true meaning. I do comprehend that you can’t get stressed at every little thing. But, what most people (Including myself) don’t understand is IT IS HARD to enjoy the little things when you become so accustomed to them, they are invisible. I have a problem with this. I get stressed over everything, nothing is good anymore. What I recommend is every night before bed, write three things you are thankful for on a piece of paper. If you are having a hard time doing this (I did at first) think of the most obvious things you can. For an example, “I’m thankful for the roof over my head. I’m thankful or the food I ate today. I’m thankful I don’t live in a war-torn country.” All of these statements are things that are pretty universal. After you do this for awhile, your “Thankfulnesses” will get more intricate and personal.
